The Embassy of Finland is part of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, whose task is – among other things – to promote Finland's economic interests, exports and internationalisation of Finnish companies. Consequently, the Embassy can provide Finnish companies with counseling, contacts and support that is needed to succeed in Croatia.
Since the Embassy follows Croatia's political and economic developments on a day-to-day basis, we are able to provide you assistance whenever seeking to enter – or increase – your business in the region. On the other hand, if you need specific consultancy services or market analyses, you should contact the former Foreign Trade Association, Finpro. Finpro has a Trade Center in Vienna, Austria, which is responsible for the Croatian market as well.
As an Embassy, we work actively with Croatian businesses and the government in order to identify opportunities for Finnish goods, services, and know-how. Our Honorary Consuls in Split (Mr. Milan Senjanovic), Rijeka (Mr. Mladen Merlak) and Zagreb (Mr. Branimir Vlajo) are also at your service. They can help you establish contacts with the local business community and legal experts, who in turn, can facilitate your access to other companies and local authorities.
Since its independence in the beginning of 1990's, Croatia has achieved significant progress in developing a market economy and positioning itself regionally. There are several business opportunities in the new EU candidate country for Finnish companies as well.
