
The Embassy of Finland grants financial assistance to Croatian NGO's through the Local Cooperation Fund for projects that support the objectives of Finland's development policy and support Croatia in fulfilling the accession criteria of the European Union. All Croatian non-governmental organisations can apply for Local Cooperation Fund.
In 2010 the Embassy has funded these organizations and projects:
Association for Social Ecology Green Gold, 28 680 €. Support for ecological agriculture and enterpreneurship.
Transparency International Croatia, 2 300 €. Initiating a public debate on constitutional amendments.
Women's Room, 7 500 €. Center for victims of sexual violence.
Center for Peace, Legal Advice and Psychosocial Assistance, 37 946 € Capacity building for Roma leaders and representatives.
Youth Association Novi Svijet, 17 977 €. Social services at Mala Gorica refugee camp.
Information and Legal Assistance Center, 30 000 €. Offering free court presentation and legal advice.
J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek, 4 800 €. Study trip to Turku, Finland.
Dolphin, 25 924 €. Assistance for victims of domestic violence.
Green Istria, 13 510 € Enforcement of the Århus Convention in the Adriatic region.
Dokumenta, 21 480 € Expert consultation on war victim's status.
Human Rights Center, 12 000 €. Analysis on the implementation of the Free Legal Aid Act.
Argonauta, 7 500 €. Contribution to International Biodiversity Year 2010.
