Finland recognized Croatia on January 17, 1992. Diplomatic relations were established on February 19, 1992. The first Ambassadors were accredited from Budapest to Zagreb and from Stockholm to Helsinki. Finland opened an Embassy in Zagreb on May 1, 1997. On November 2005, the Embassy moved to the new and modern premises located in the Eurocenter office building which is located very close to the city center.
